with Automatic profile dressing by form-dressing
templates. These machines are low cost economic
solutions when variety of components are not many.
Automatic Profile dressing machines are offered in
two versions APD (Hydraulic) & APD(Stepper Motor):
In APD-H
the infeed and dressing feed is automatic, through
hydro-electronic (PLC) controls, but the wheel dressing
compensation is manual. The inprocess guage controls
the ground sizes automatically; manual wheel wear
compensation is adequate for most applications.
In APD-S
the stepper motor gives drive to both infeed and
dresser feed. This allows automatic Wheel wear
compensation each time the wheel is dressed. This is
useful when very frequent dressing is required for
EX: Machines with diamond roll dressing. |
