Six Axes CNC Grinder

This is the first 6 Axes CNC machine that has been developed and proved by MGT as replacement to an import product. Interesting part is the gantry loader, which has three parts, Part-0I Indexing linear pallet station (U Axis), which can hold two trays with a pneumatic lift arrangement on servo axis. Part II is W1 Axis (linear speed 120m/min) where the indexing head with one finger picks the semi finish component from the tray and replaces the ground component into the tray and Part III is W2 Axis - the indexing head with 2 fingers which receives the semi finished component from Wi Axis and moves forward to pick the ground component and load the semi finished component. The component is held in the bore using a mandrel with a collet. Clamping is done by spring force and de-clamp by hydraulic stroke. The component is held between centers from Tailstock, dressing was through dia roll dressing.
